IPL HAIR REDUCTION

Intense Pulse Light (IPL) is proven to be an effective treatment for hair reduction. An intense light with a specific wavelength range is emitted to the treatment area and passes through the skin to the hair follicle. The melanin in the hair absorbs the light energy and transforms it into heat. This in turn disables the hair follicle so it is unable to grow. As heat is involved in the process there is momentary mild discomfort but this is reduced by using cold gel.

Please note that although a reduction of hair can be seen after the first session, a course of treatments are required to achieve best results. The results for most clients are excellent but it is unlikely to achieve 100% hair removal, and after the course of treatments occasional top up sessions will be necessary. Very light colours such as grey, white, very light blonde and red do not achieve very good results as there isn't enough melanin in the hair to absorb the light energy.
